Chris Mutangadura, State Counsel (SC), is a distinguished legal practitioner and proud alumnus of Cheziya Gokwe High School, whose journey from the heart of Gokwe to international legal prominence embodies excellence and dedication. Born in Kwekwe and raised in Gokwe under Chief Njelele, Chris’s early academic brilliance earned him the prestigious Advanced Level Scholarship from Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) in 2000, making him the sole recipient in Midlands Province.

Professor Nyasha Mboti
Professor Nyasha Mboti, a distinguished alumnus of Cheziya Gokwe High School, has forged an illustrious career as a scholar, educator, and pioneer in critical academic discourse. After completing his foundational education at Cheziya Gokwe—a school celebrated for its commitment to excellence—he pursued higher studies at the University of Zimbabwe, where he earned his undergraduate degree, Master’s, and PhD. Today, he serves as Head of the Department of Communication Science and Associate Professor at the University of the Free State (UFS), where he has dedicated 17 years to shaping minds through transformative teaching and mentorship.

Donewell Bangure
Donewell Bangure, a distinguished alumnus of Cheziya Gokwe High School, embodies the transformative power of education and perseverance. A pioneer of the school’s inaugural A-Level class (1998–1999), he cemented his legacy as a science prodigy, earning the title of Overall Best Science Student in consecutive years. His academic foundation in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry propelled him toward a career dedicated to saving lives and shaping global health policy.

Edgar Chinjekure
Edgar Chinjekure, a proud alumnus of Cheziya Gokwe High School (Advanced Level, 2003-2004), is a shining example of how passion, dedication, and talent can forge extraordinary success beyond traditional academic paths. As a gifted midfielder, Edgar carved out an illustrious football career, representing renowned clubs such as Triangle FC, Lancaster Steel, Sizani, and Chemvuri Pirates. His exceptional skills and leadership on the field earned him the honor of representing Team Zimbabwe at the prestigious Namibia ZITSU tournament, where he showcased his talent on an international stage.

Obert Nobert Zinyama (born April 29, 1995) stands as a beacon of resilience, leadership, and community spirit, embodying the values of Cheziya Gokwe High School. From his early days as a student-athlete to his current role as a mentor, Zinyama’s journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the power of giving back
